Kerala panchayats to have high-speed net connectivity by March

Kerala would become the first state in the country by March next to have high speed internet connectivity in all gram panchayats, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said today.

Cable laying work under the National Optical Fibre Network Programme was fast progressing, he said during the media briefing on the cabinet meeting.

State Minister in-charge of Information Technology, P K Kunhalikutty gave a report on the progress of the scheme to the cabinet, he said.
