The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) plans to prepare a database of skilled local, as part of its 'Rojgar Naka' or 'employment junction' concept, to provide jobs to sons of the soil, its Thane unit self employment cell chief Sunil Basakhotre said here on Thursday.

Addressing a news conference here, he said that after the success of the concept in Mumbai last year, the MNS had decided to extend it to other parts of the state.

He also made it crystal clear that only locals who have skills to be plumbers, electricians, masons and carpenters would be included in the database.

He said that it was noticed that those from outside Maharashtra were getting and doing these jobs due to which the party had decided to provide employment to locals.
