Under the collaboration, NIF-India would share the innovations pertaining to disability, rehabilitation and other related issues with BMVSS, who would then identify these innovations to be taken forward for diffusion through various channels.
The agreement was signed by Professor Anil Gupta, executive vice-chair of NIF-India and Devendra Raj Mehta, founder and chief patron, BMVSS, a statement issued by NIF said.
NIF-India is an autonomous organisation of the Centre's Department of Science and Technology providing institutional support to innovators from the informal sector.
BMVSS, makers of the 'Jaipur Foot', is among the world's largest organisations serving the disabled, providing all its assistance, including artificial limbs, calipers and other aids and appliances.
