Petroleum traders threaten to go on strike

Association, on behalf of more than 42,000-odd dealership network, demands increase of 48 paise on petrol and 32 paisa on diesel from current commission

The Federation of Petroleum Traders (FAIPT) today threatened to go on an all India agitation, if oil companies fail to increase the commission of dealers.

The association, on behalf of more than 42,000-odd dealership network, has demanded an increase of 48 paise on petrol and 32 paisa on diesel from the current commission.

According to them, the dealers’ commission was not increased despite a Rs 27 per litre and Rs 13 per litre hike diesel in the last one-and-a-half years.

Currently, dealers are getting Rs 1.74 per litre for petrol and Rs 1.07 per litre for sale of diesel as fixed margin.
