BJP today said the "confusion" surrounding the Centre's China policy is "totally unacceptable" and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should clear the matter.

"Foreign minister Salman Khurshid says something about China and (Defence Minister) Anthony has a different take. This is the hallmark of UPA...Confusion confounded.

"This is absolutely unacceptable and particularly on subject like China, where it is not only sensitive but very important strategically," BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar told reporters here.

Javadekar said the foreign policy of UPA is "flawed" and is "harming" the country.

"We want good relations with China but the foreign policy of UPA is flawed. People should know what pact has India done with China? Prime Minister should talk on this. Taking different directions is harming the nation," he said.

The BJP spokesperson said the country needs to have "one plan one design" to deal with China.

"China has its own plans and designs, but we should have our one plan and one design and we should not have different directions in which each ministry is pulling the China policy. You cannot have a consistent China policy when you have the two ministers pulling in different directions," he said.

The BJP leader was addressing reporters here while announcing a "Jail Bharo" movement to protest against "loot and plunder of the country" by the Congress-led UPA government.
