'Avengers' star Robert Downey Jr has been named as the world's most profitable celebrity according to Forbes magazine's annual list of highest paid actors.
The 48-year-old actor has earned approx USD 75 million since last year with profiting huge amounts from starring in 'The Avengers' and 'Iron Man 3' as he had his share in the film's total earnings at the box office, reported Forbes online.
Director Steven Soderbergh and Robert independently financed and produced 'Magic Mike' which also grossed in good profits.
Downey Jr has taken the top position in 10 highest paid actors from June 2012-2013 in the world ahead of several well-known celebrities like Channing Tatum, Hugh Jackman, Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Leonardo DiCaprio, Adam Sandler, Tom Cruise, Denzel Washington and Liam Neeson.
