Slamming the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government after Women and Child Development (WCD) Minister Sandeep Kumar was caught in a compromising position with a woman in a CD, women activist Shamina Shafiq asserted that the party owes an explanation to the women of Delhi, who they promised security and now his own ministers are coming up with such incidents.

"The Chief Minister and the former WCD Minister of Delhi owes an explanation to the people of Delhi, especially the women of Delhi, whom they had promised huge thing in the name of giving good and clean politics to the people, giving security to the women. We know how far bad Delhi has been as far as crime against women is concerned. But now when we see that the so called ministers of WCD involved in such incidents, we want to know what kind of moral did he had to for that matter hold the position that he was holding for so many years and I think he need to be booked under the appropriated act and IPC sections and the Chief Minister need to give an explanation," Shafiq told ANI.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal sacked Sandeep Kumar after receiving a CD carrying a nine-minute video and 11 pictures showing Kumar purportedly having sex with two women.

On Thursday, Kumar denied to be the person featured in the controversial video, saying he was bearing the brunt for being a Dalit and poor.

Demanding an investigation into the matter, Kumar dubbed the CD episode as "hoax", while alleging that it was a conspiracy against him.
