Sarabjit, Indian prisoner on death row in Pakistan, was attacked by six other inmates with bricks and blunt objects leaving him in a deep coma.

While the Pakistan jail authorities got him to the hospital, the nation's governnment was scrambling to issue visas for the inmate's family to reach Pakistan as soon as possible.

Two prisoners have been charged with attempt to murder. However, there is no news on the other four involved, yet.

Press Trust of India just reported that his wife Sukhpreet Kaur, his daughters and his sister, Dalbir Kaur have crossed over to Pakistan through the Attari-Wagah border.

The family is demanding better hospital facilities for Sarabjit. There is talk of moving him to India for better treatment too. However, there is no update or clarity on this demand, yet.
