Police said the call was received at the Office of the Assistant Commissioner of Police around 2000 hrs last night stating that a bomb had been planted at the dais, put up at the venue from where BJP leaders are to address the rally, and "nobody can prevent it from exploding."
Asked who was speaking, the caller had said "I am the one who is going to to plant the bomb."
Besides Modi, BJP President Rajnath Singh and other leaders are scheduled to address the rally, organised by the party's youth wing this evening.
Police said they searched the area thoroughly but nothing was found and they are now trying to trace the number from where the call was made.
Police are maintaining tight vigil and security has been tightened in and around the venue of the rally.
