The Subhamangalam Yatra Special Tourist Train will depart Bangalore October 25 on a 10-day tour, taking tourists to Bijapur, Solapur, Phandarpur, Aurangabad, Shirdi, Badami and Hampi. It will return on November 3. Pilgrims can board the train at Bangalore, Guntakal and Gadag.
P Sam Joseph, Chief Regional Manager – Tourism, said in a release today the train will have three packages – standard, comfort and deluxe – costing Rs 8,190, Rs 17,730 and Rs 23,850 per person respectively.
Consisting of 13 coaches, it will have seven sleeper coaches, two 3-Tier AC coaches, one 2-Tier AC coach and one pantry car, with a capacity for 650 passengers. Besides catering vegetarian food, it will include tour escorts, security and public address system.
