A suspicious object was on Tuesday found in Gandhi Maidan, venue of the BJP's Hunkar Rally that bore the brunt of Sunday's serial blasts in which six persons died and 82 others were injured.

"A suspicious object has been recovered from a footpath used by morning walkers in Gandhi Maidan," Senior Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaj told PTI.

"We are trying to find out as to what the object is," he said.

The area has been cordoned off and a police team along with a Bomb Disposal Squad was rushed to the spot.
