Five new patients have been tested positive for swine flu in the city, taking the number of cases to 58.
"A total of 58 swine flu patients have been detected in Lucknow so far. They are being treated in hospitals of the city," Chief Medical Officer S N S Yadav said.
Swatantra Saksena, working in Merchant Navy, had died due to swine flu on Thursday, taking the number of deaths due to the H1N1 virus to three in the city. A retired Army officer died of H1N1 virus on January 9 while the wife of a retired jawan died on January 13.
