Twitter tributes have continued to pour in for Indian cricketing icon Sachin Tendulkar as he plays his final Test in Mumbai against the West Indies before an emotional saying goodbye to the sport.
Earlier, the crowd at the Wankhede fell into complete silence as opposition captain Darren Sammy caught Tendulkar (74) while he was facing Narsingh Deonarine.
Indian batsman Gautam Gambhir wrote on Twitter that it was tough for him to concentrate on the Delhi-Mumbai Ranji Trophy match today as the great man was playing just kilometers away at Wankhede.
Former South African player Pat Symcox said that Tendulkar was unquestionably the most committed cricketer to his country to have ever played the game.
Formula One racer Lewis Hamilton congratulated Sachin and called him a true sporting legend, who had achieved so much in his career.
Former England footballer Gary Lineker also praised the master blaster and said that it would be wonderful if Tendulkar could end his career with a ton.
