UP govt hikes retirement age for employees of autonomous bodies

The Uttar Pradesh government today decided to increase age of superannuation of employees of autonomous bodies from 58 to 60 years.

The decision was taken during a Cabinet meeting here chaired by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.

It was also decided not to change the name of 108 EMTS Samajwadi Swasthya Sewa under NRHM and to bear an estimated expenditure of Rs 87.44 crore in the second and third year completely from the state budget.

It decided to sign an agreement with the Union Ministry for Health and Family Welfare for the second phase of NRHM.

The state government decided to set up at least one super speciality hospital on Public Private Partnership model.

It approved a proposal to increase cost of construction of houses under 'Asra' scheme from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 2.96 lakh.

The Cabinet decided to give government guarantee for loan taken from banks and bonds issued in favour of power companies under Financial Restructuring Programme of the Centre.

It decided to give an additional compensation to martyrs of Agra and Bareilly incident to Rs 15 lakh.
