The witness, STF said informed the court, was identified as Sanjay Singh Yadav (35), died of prolonged illness on February 8 at a private hospital in Bhopal.
The agency had also submitted death certificate of the deceased in the court. Yadav was witness in the constable recruitment scam in which three accused from Uttar Pradesh were arrested. “He died of liver disorder,” STF sources said and added, “Three persons were arrested before Yadav as witness.” With death of the witness as many as 47 person died (unconfirmed sources) under mysterious circumstances in the Vyapam scam which pertains to admission in professional courses and government jobs.
The Supreme Court has already ordered all investigations pertaining to the Vyapam scam to be handed over to Central Bureau of Investigation today.
