ADB to finance construction of Indo-Myanmar road

The first phase of the road, to be laid under ADB's 'Proposed Road Consulting Mission'

Asian Development Bank would finance the construction of the 417-km long Indo-Myanmar Road connecting Moore in Myanmar with Sutarkandi in Karimganj bordering Bangladesh. The first phase of the road, to be laid under ADB's 'Proposed Road Consulting Mission', would be from Moore in Myanmar to Imphal in Manipur while the second phase would be from Imphal to Sutarkandi via Silchar, official sources said here on Thursday.
