Senior Congress leader Arjun Singh yesterday held discussions with party MLAs on the state of implementation of the panchayati raj system in Madhya Pradesh.
The leader met MLAs from various districts in the Congress legislature party room in the state Assembly. Initially, four of the 14 MLAs from Indore division met Singh and briefed him about the manner in which panchayati raj was functioning in the state.
Among these mlas was ms nirmala bhuria, daughter of senior tribal leader and congress m p, mr dilip singh bhuria.

Before the meetings, mr arjun singh told newsmen that it was not important whether he was satisfied or not with the panchayati raj in the state. I am only worried about its reality, the senior congress leader said.
He is later expected to present his suggestions on the panchayati raj to the chief minister, mr digvijay singh.
