Army Medal For Jaswant Singh For His Role In Kargil Conflict

Maj Jaswant Singh (retd), lately of Central India Horse and current Union Finance Minister, has been recommended for a medal by former Chief of Army Staff Gen S Padmanabhan.
The proposal, which has reportedly been accepted by Defence Minister George Fernandes is awaiting Gazette notification by the defence ministry.
