The chargesheet in the Bofors pay-off case will be filed in the court in a few days, CBI director Joginder Singh said yesterday.
Talking to reporters here, he said investigation into the case in India was over and finishing touches were being given to the CBI report. He said another set of secret Swiss bank documents relating to the Bofors payoff was still with the Swiss court where appeals have been filed against their handing over to India.
He, however, expressed the hope that the papers would be released by the Swiss court to India by June or July this year.
The last set of Swiss bank documents would be given to India only after the Swiss federal court disposes of the final appeal by the sixth appellant.
The CBI, which received the first set of secret bank papers in January this year, has named five persons, including Italian businessman Ottavio Quattrocchi, his wife Maria, Indian agent of AB Bofors, Win Chaddha, his late wife Kanta and son Harsh as recipients of the alleged kickbacks.
