Cabinet approves vote-on- account

The Orissa council of ministers chaird by the chief minister Naveen Patnaik today approved the vote-on-account for four months of 2009-10.The vote-on-account will be presented in the state Assembly on 12th of this month.The assembly session is scheduled from February 9.

Talking to the media fter the meeting the finance minister Prafulla Chandra Ghadai said, provisions for the first 4 months (April, May, June and July) has been made in the vote-on-account.The allocations include expenditure for salary, pension, provision for the on-going schemes and some new schemes.

He said, due attention has been given for all the departments while finalising the vote-on-account. Sources said, the size of the vote on account will be more than 14,800 crore.
