A total of 42 and 25 candidates for Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula Assembly constituency respectively remained in the fray after the end of withdrawals on Friday. Only two candidates have withdrawn from the contest, according to an official press release here today. Polling is scheduled to be held on May 8. The byelections was announced following the resignation of sitting members, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and his mother Y S Vijayamma, who are seeking re-election from their respective constituencies representing a new party.
