Cannes 2011: First gold comes India's way

After two days of bagging silver and bronze lions, India finally struck gold on day three of the Cannes Advertising Festival. Media agency Lodestar Universal walked away with the coveted trophy for Garnier, followed closely behind by Group M’s Maxus which bagged a silver for Tata Sky.
In Outdoor Lions category, there were three wins— one silver and two bronze that went to Taproot, Sorento Healthcare and BBDO respectively for Audio Book India, Wockhardt, and White Collar Hippies, a travel company.
Radio saw just one winner, a bronze for McCann Worldgroup for Mirc Electronics.
With these wins, India’s tally so far is eleven metals including one gold, five silver and five bronze.
