The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is investigating into the Satyam case, has filed a memo in Nampally court today for hearing the charges against nine accused in the case.
All the accused, except Satyam founder chairman B Ramalinga Raju, who is being treated at the NIMS Hospital since September first week, were produced before 14th additional chief metropolitan magistrate.
The accused filed a petition for adjournment on the grounds that they will defend the charges filed against them after the CBI filed the supplementary chargesheet.
The court adjourned the proceedings to November 26. The CBI has time till November 30 to file the supplementary chargesheet.
In another hearing, related to the petition filed by Satyam's former managing director and Raju's brother B Rama Raju and former chief financial officer Vadlamani Srinivas requesting the court to allow them access to laptops, the CBI argued that allowing the accused laptops now would defeat the investigation purpose.
Meanwhile, the Price Waterhouse auditor Srinivas Talluri, one of the accused in the case, filed a special leave petition in the Supreme Court challenging the Andhra Pradesh High Court's order to dismiss his bail petition.
