Confusion over national capital goods policy

Confusion prevailed over the National Capital Goods Policy for some time on Wednesday after which it was clarified that the Cabinet did not take up the policy.

Earlier in the day, an official had confirmed that the policy was approved by the Cabinet. Later in the briefing, Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad told reporters that the issue did not come up for consideration at the meeting.
