In the wake of the blast on Janmashtami that killed two people in the city, authorities have directed all cyber cafe owners to install web cameras in their shops which will help keep the photo records of the visitors.
Mentioning that terrorists have been using internet as a tool, District Magistrate Anil Kumar Sagar today said web cameras will help in keeping photo records of the visitors.
Sagar directed the cyber cafe owners to not allow anybody who did not have a valid identity proof and maintain complete record of the visitors.
He also asked landlords to get their tenants' identity verified and asked the officials to prepare a list of tenants in the city.
The district magistrate warned of strict action under section 188 of the IPC against those violating the directions.
