"Following the accomplishments of the brassparts and components cluster at Jamnagar in Gujarat, EDI is now enforcing revitalising strategies in the Baroda engineering cluster, and the textile machinery clsuter at Ahmedabad, Surat and Surendranagar. The institute has also put handicraft and handloom clusters on a tactical trail across the nation," said Yogesh Agrawal, president, EDI and chairman, IDBI Bank Ltd., during the institute's 11th Convocation of the 'Post-Graduate Diploma in Management - Business Entrepreneurship' (PGDMBE) and 'Post-Graduate Diploma in Management of NGOs'.

Speaking as the chief guest at the Convocation, Vijay Mallya, chairman, UB Group said, "If we look at some of the big companies in India like Reliance and Airtel, we will find the entrepreneurship spirit behind it. It was the spirit of entrepreneurship that made Microsoft, a company formed by college dropouts, successful."
