Green Award For Vsp

Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) has received the Environment Excellence Award in steel sector from Greentech Foundation, New Delhi, in appreciation of environment protection.

Santosh Gangwar, the minister of state for petroleum & natural gas, presented the award at a meeting held in New Delhi recently. S K Sarna, the executive director (works) of Vizag Steel, received the award on behalf of the VSP management. VSP has been effectively implementing Environmental management systems as per ISO -14001:1996 since May 2001, a release stated.
