Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today announced a number of measures for the welfare of workers and residents of the industrial town of Faridabad.
These included sanction of a Rs-2,082 crore project to connect YMCA, Ballabgarh with metro rail, Rs 2,800 crore approved under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission, development of slums and a new 50-bed hospital in sector 55-56 and survey for regularisation of unauthorised colonies.
He also announced that industrial workers would get payment of their wages through cheques to ensure disbursement of minimum wages.
