Haryana CM to inaugurate six projects

Six new projects involving a total investment of Rs 3,411 crore will come up at Industrial Model Township (IMT), Rohtak, as Haryana chief minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda is scheduled to participate in a string of ground-breaking ceremonies of these new projects on April 23. He will also inaugurate two projects at the IMT the same day.
Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation managing director Rajeev Arora said the chief minister would be laying the foundation stones of the projects of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited, Nippon Carbide, Sabarkantha Cooperative — a unit of Amul Dairy, Lakshmi Precision Screws Ltd and Aisin Automotive Haryana Pvt Ltd.
The chief minister would also inaugurate the second plant of Asian Paints Limited and a blending and bottling plant.
The project of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd at IMT Rohtak, which is to be developed over an area of 600 acres, is part of their plan for establishing designing and developing facility for its vehicles. The facility would comprise of the state-of-the-art research and development and contemporary test facilities, which would provide the capability of full vehicle development as well as component durability and performance evaluation for part evaluation for localisation, compliance to all current and future domestic and export regulatory requirements, full vehicle quality performance and enhancement of new model development capability.
This would be the only R&D hub of Suzuki Motors Corporation outside Japan, and would cater to the Asian markets. The total investment in the facility would be around Rs 1,000 crore, and would be implemented in two phases.
The entire investment is to be made over a period of about two-and-a-half years.
