Haryana to distribute crop compensation by May 15

Haryana Finance and Revenue Minister Captain Abhimanyu said 500 special patwaris (village accountants) have been appointed for distribution of compensation cheques to farmers at the earliest.

Abhimanyu said this while interacting with media persons here on Tuesday. He said videography would be carried out of the distribution procedure to avoid any kind of irregularities.

Abhimanyu said it would also be ensured farmers concerned get compensation before May 15 without facing any trouble.

He said chairmen of district grievance redressal committees in all districts concerned, additional secretaries and officers of sub-divisonal magistrate level will monitor the process and ensure cheque distribution is being carried out smoothly.

He said in the history of Haryana, girdawari on such a large scale has been carried out for the first time. The work of girdawari was completed by April 22 in a record time and compensation cheques were sent to all districts within three days by April 25.
