The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president and agriculture minister Sharad Pawar on Tuesday expressed displeasure over Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's statement that difficult decisions were getting "more difficult" because of coalition compulsions. "We are seriously hurt by the prime minister's statement made in Rajya Sabha during his reply to debate on the Motion of Thanks to the President's Address. Prime Minister should have not made a generalised statement. The NCP has been ally of the UPA since 2004 and never made any statement in the public against it nor criticised any decision of the government."
