SOLARCON India 2011, the third edition of the country's largest solar energy-focused event, organised by Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI), will commence in Hyderabad on November 9.
The three-day event will comprise an exposition with the theme ‘Showcasing the solar ecosystem: From polysilicon to power plants’, a conference with the theme ‘Charting India’s roadmap to solar leadership – Translating potential into reality’, and parallel technical sessions.
“This year’s edition will bring together the best professional from industry, government, academia as well as financiers to discuss key implementation aspects and challenges ahead,” Debasish Paul Choudhury, president of SEMI India, said in a press release.
Certified by the US department of commerce, the event will feature an exclusive pavilion with 14 US companies participating. Also, a 35-member clean tech delegation, led by Francisco J Sanchez, the US under secretary of commerce for international trade will be present at the inauguration of the show.
The conference will include an LED summit (co-organised with Frost & Sullivan) and a short technical course on ‘Grid-connected solar PV (photo voltaic) systems’, the release added.
