The Indian Bureau of Mines (IBM) has voiced its displeasure over non-sharing of information by the state steel & mines department on suspension of mines.
Stating that IBM regularly shares all information with the department as well as the Directorate of Mines whenever it issues suspension or revocation order for any mine, the Central agency under Union ministry of mines has held the state government guilty for lack of communication on the matter.IBM has also asked for a list of mines presently under suspension and the reasons for such action.
Meanwhile, the state steel & mines secretary Manoj Ahuja has stressed on conducting a joint meeting with the IBM every month for carrying out joint inspection of mines.
