Having received the approval of the University Grants Commission, the Icfai Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE), a deemed university, is planning to conduct its own entrance test for admission to B Tech programme from the next academic year.
IFHE has recently received approval from UGC to start the faculty of science and technology from the academic year 2010-11. "For the first year, we will admit students on the basis of their test scores in IIT-JEE, AIEEE and Eamcet, and from next year onwards we will conduct our own special test across the country for admissions," B V Rama Murthy, area manager (south), IFHE, told mediapersons here on Tuesday.
IFHE offers four-year full-time B Tech programmes in civil engineering, computer science, electrical and electronics engineering, electronics and communication, and mechanical engineering.
