Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur is all set to host its international business and entrepreneurship festival Megabucks in January 2009.
The festival will showcase talks from experts like Myron Scholes (Nobel Laureate, Economics) and Narayan Murthy, besides 12 competitions like Business Plan, Case Study, Ad Design, VC Pitch, Derivatives, online trading events, workshops from organizations like NSE and NCDEX.
It will also offer prize money of Rs 15 lakh and the seed fund exceeding Rs 4 crore.
This year its theme is Social Entrepreneurship, addressing its relevance and its scope in the current Indian Economy
The event will seek participation from reputed institutions from India and abroad like IIMs, ISB, XLRI, SP Jain, IITs, DU, NITs and internationally renowned universities like Stanford, Purdue, Chicago University, McMaster University Canada and National University of Singapore.
