Irrigation scam: Shirke sent on compulsory leave
The Maharashtra government on Monday sent water resources secretary Devendra Shirke on a compulsory leave. Shirke and 44 officials are being probed for their alleged involvement in the Rs 70,000-crore irrigation scam in Maharashtra.
