Karnataka government today entered into a tie up with India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) to organise trade fairs in the state and abroad.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to this effect was signed in front of Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa here.

The MoU was signed by V Umesh, Principal Secretary, Commerce and Industry Department in the state government and Rajiv Yadav, Executive Director of ITPO.

The agreement would be valid for one year.

The agreement would help the industry in the state to boost domestic as well as overseas trade, Umesh said.

They would participate in the trade show at Santiago (Chile) from March 18 to 21 and at Lima (Peru) from March 24 and 25 next year.
