| Some of the proposals being vetted by the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA) include construction of proper road at Vikramgarh and a flyover on the Prince Anwar Shah road, apart from the widening of the nearby roads, said P R Baviskar, CEO of KMDA. |

| The authority was considering five different proposals in this regards, with the project costs ranging between Rs 100-150 crore. |

| About 50 per cent of the project cost was expected to be shared by developers of South City, he added. |

| Also, the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) was trying to a develop model infrastructure project with South City, a consortium of several real estate developers of West Bengal, under which it was planning an infrastructure project for sports, he informed. |

| "We have taken a conscious decision to develop integrated cities in suburbs, so that people do not have to commute everyday to their work places. The development of infrastructure and private participation in it were the key aspects of the scheme," he said. |

| The extension work of the E M Bypass till Baruipur, that would be the new district headquarter of the South 24-Parganas district, would begin next month, he said. |
