A week after the meeting between Prime Ministers of the two countries, External Affairs Minister S M Krishna and his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi came face-to-face at the ASEAN ministerial meeting here and exchanged greetings.
"We exchanged greetings," Krishna told reporters about his face-to-face with Qureshi at a dinner for ASEAN leaders here last night. There were no discussions as the two leaders are slated to meet in New York in September on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
Stating that they did not discuss anything, Krishna pointed out that they are slated to meet in New York for substantive talks modalities for which are being worked out.
The face-to-face comes a week after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his Pakistani counterpart Yousuf Raza Gilani met in Sharm-el Sheikh in Egypt and discussed the problems posed by terrorism.
