A special court yesterday extended till October 7 the judicial remand of the former Bihar Chief Minister, Laloo Prasad Yadav, in three conspiracy angle cases of the fodder scam.
The designated CBI judge, SK Lal, also extended by another two weeks, the remand of former state ministers, Bholaram Toofani and VidyasagarNishad, besides former Union minister, CP Verma, in the three cases.
None of the accused whose remand was extended were produced before the court on account of illness.

The conspiracy cases rc 38(a)/96,rc 42 (a)/96 and rc 64 (a)/96 of the scam relate to fraudulent withdrawals of crores of rupees by the animal husbandry department officials from different treasuries in the state.
The cbi, probing the scam, is yet to file chargesheets in connection with these cases.
