The Left Democratic Front (LDF) government in Kerala has given a thumbs up to the Railway Budget presented by railway minister Lalu Prasad today.
 
Describing the Budget as helping the common man, chief minister V S Achuthanandan said the proposals would help in checking the increase of prices and also aid employment generation.
 
Expressing happiness at the Railway Budget, M Vijaya Kumar, minister for law, sports and parliamentary affairs, said the railway minister's proposals would prove beneficial to the state.
 
He lauded the efforts of the MPs from Kerala in ensuring that proposals, which aim at the benefit of the common man, have been spelt out.
