Pune based consulting and solutions integration company Nihilent, has focused on African market for international consulting, IT outsourcing and IT services.

Over 70 per cent business of the company comes from this region. Beyond South Africa, Nihilent has expanded its presence in the other African countries like Tanzania, Nigeria and Ghana through strategic partnership designed to mutually benefit the local companies to scale up and grow their business in the region.

Speaking to Business Standard on Africa expansion, Minoo Dastur, Chief Operating Officer and Director, Nihilent technologies said, "The overall African continent and South Africa in particular is a technologically adaptive and innovative nation with great corporations whose pan African and global ambitions mirror those of Nihilent. Whilst most Indian companies have worked to take business away from the countries in which they sell their services, Nihilent works to create local capability by transferring knowledge and embracing local entities it partners with by working to teach them best practices and upgrade their capabilities. This coupled with Nihilent’s consulting led and driven solution to working with companies to help them execute and deliver on their strategies strongly differentiates Nihilent from others."

Nihilent has expanded into Malawi through a partnership with one of the countries most significant majors Nico Technologies, where Nihilent has acquired controlling stakes and is about to enter several other countries in sub-Saharan Africa. Nihilent has also begun to target North Africa through its operations in the Middle East following the natural affinities between corporates in these regions.

William Tagoe, Chief Operating Officer, Harley Reed International who is a parner of Nihilent said, "Nihilent thus provides us not only the  bread and butter information technology support, but also the people and process legs of these initiatives. As a consequence Nihilent is one of the largest foreign IT companies in Africa on Monday. The main consulting-led services include enterprise transformation and change management, software process & CMMI, enterprise architecture & strategic IT planning, program management, and technology services such as mobile computing, quality assurance & testing, data warehousing & business intelligence services."

Nihilent’s strategic partners provide governance, risk management, training and internal audit transformation solutions to organizations.

These partnerships are designed to mutually benefit both companies to scale up and grow their business.
