Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB) chairman Vinay Bansal on Sunday called upon consumers in the state to be prepared for electricity cuts for up to four hours from September 20.
He also noted that the MSEB had submitted a proposal before the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) seeking a tariff hike of 19 per cent in order to rationalise tariff.
From September 20, the MSEB will be going for planned load-shedding with adequate public notice being given about the same so as to inconvenience consumers as little as possible, he said.
