Samajwadi Party chief and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today filed his nomination papers from the Mainpuri parliamentary constituency and declared assets worth over Rs 2.23 crore.
Sixty-nine-year-old Yadav filed his nomination papers before the Returning officer (RO) Ministhi S in the presence of party general secretaries Amar Singh and Sanjay Dutt, besides Bollywood star and party MP Jaya Bachchan, here.
In his affidavit submitted to the RO, Yadav declared net asset of Rs 2,23,99,220, including movable and immovable property worth Rs 1,53,65,498 and Rs 70,33,722 respectively.
The leader, who has no case pending against him in any court, has Rs 3,44,288 cash in hand and his wife Sadhna Yadav has Rs 21,984.
The SP chief does not own a car while his wife has a Toyota Camry worth Rs 17,16,717 and another car valued at Rs 50,000, the affidavit said.
