The BJP yesterday asserted it is not interested in any understanding with the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) for government formation in Uttar Pradesh and clarified that the party would await the Apex courts verdict on the validity of imposition of Presidents rule on the state.
An alliance with the BSP is not on our agenda, a BJP spokesperson said.He said Uttar Pradesh Governor Romesh Bhandari had denied the BJP the right to form the government, adding the BJP hopes the Supreme Court would do justice to our claims of being invited to form the government by virtue of beign the single largest party in the 425-member Assembly.
Former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee has already ruled out any alliance with the BSP Uttar Pradesh.
