Erstwhile Maharashtra governor P C Alexander was today elected to the Rajya Sabha with 203 votes being cast in his favour by MLAs from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Shiv Sena and BJP parties (totalling 181 votes), while some Congress party MLAs and independents also added to his tally by 22 votes.
