Plan Panel Confident Of 6% Gdp Growth

The Planning Commission is hopeful of achieving nearly 6 per cent growth rate this fiscal despite the slowdown that has lowered the gross domestic product (GDP) growth to 4.4 per cent in the first quarter of 2001-02 from 6.1 per cent in the same period last year.
