Minister of State for Railways Bharatsinh Solanki today said the announcement of PPP model in the railway budget will ensure adequate fund flow for ambitious projects.
Speaking to PTI here, Solanki said that 85 public- private-partnership (PPP) initiatives have been announced in the budget presented on Friday.
The PPP would ensure fund flow and resource availability for ambitious projects lined up by the railways, he said, adding the proposed system of single window clearance for the PPP projects would help the companies.
The introduction of e-procurement system is also a welcome step which will bring transparency in the procurement process of Indian Railways and the SME sector would particularly benefit from it, said Solanki.
