The National Capital Region urban rail connectivity project has set a target to link Delhi to nearby towns and cities: Panipat in Haryana, Alwar in Rajasthan and Meerut in UP. The three lines would stretch over 381 km. The initial projected cost is ~55,825 crore (~72,170 crore including central and state taxes, and expected cost rise).
