RBI governor Y V Reddy to meet finance minister today

RBI governor Y V Reddy is meeting finance minister P Chidambaram today in the capital.

The finance minister is learnt to be hosting a farewell lunch for Reddy. Reddy will also be meeting officers of the finance ministry later in the day, said sources.

Reddy will demit office on September 5. Finance Secretary, Duvvuri Subbarao, 59, is the new governor designate and is expected to take over from Reddy at Mumbai on Friday.
